Our client is in the Legal sector seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and competent individual to fill the vacancy above.

 POSITION OBJECTIVE

To ensure complete and comprehensive administration/human resource implementation within the entity as well as following up on relative labour laws.Manage and implement activities for assigned areas of responsibility and provide effective and timely advice and solutions to Managing Partners and other staff on Human Resources and administration related issues.

 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Be the first point of contact for all Human Resource-related queries
  • Providing  effective Human Resource administration service
  • Ensure the relevant Human Resource database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
  • Coordinate Human Resource  recruitment processes
  • To ensure consistent Human Resource systems are maintained
  • Human Resource records of all employees including long term/Short term contracts.
  • Support the Administration of staff development which includes booking courses, liaising with providers, raising purchase order numbers, arranging in house training-courses
  • Conduct annual appraisal cycle, record completed appraisals and training needs.
  • Ensure that all payroll instructions are prepared and logged in on time for the monthly payroll run and submitted to the payroll Officer, for example; contractual variations, new starters, leavers, contractual benefits and staff benefits. 
  • To have a duty of care to yourself and others regarding Health and Safety issues and ensure that the Health & Safety Policies and Procedures are implemented.
  • To actively promote Equality & Diversity Policy, encouraging staff awareness and participation in all areas.
  • To actively promote Safeguarding Policy and be aware of your responsibilities to address concerns.
  • Adhere to Policy and Procedure and ensure private and confidential data is kept secure and disposed of in the appropriate manner.
  • Maintain an updated procedures Manual for all Human Resource Administration duties.
  • Ensure electronic and paper based personnel files are maintained and filing is completed in a timely manner

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

 

  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate ICT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook and be able to establish, maintain and up-date databases accurately.
  • An understanding and commitment to Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety
  • Knowledge of online Human Resource packages 

 

ABILITIES/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

 

  • Experience of working in a Human Resource environment 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate to diverse range of people clearly and effectively. 
  • Experience of working in and contributing  to effective team
  • Prior experience of providing excellent customer service 
  • Ability to problem solve using own initiative 
  • Excellent time management skills and experience of successfully achieving deadlines, and working without close supervision
  • Good literacy and Numeracy skills
  • Experience in a range of administration support and able to maintain accuracy

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
  • At least three years progressive experience in managed services
  • Experience in Legal Firm/ Manufacturing Industry is preferred.
