The Business Manager is responsible for growing the company’s customer portfolio through developing and implementing strategies that are aligned to sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate will be the face of the company hence should be well-versed in all business matters; have the ability to align people and processes towards the realization of company goals. They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop goals and objectives that tend to growth and prosperity of the business
Design and implement business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals
Assess overall company performance against objectives
Ensure adherence to legal rules and guidelines
Developing a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs.
Maintain relationships with clients, partners, vendors /suppliers.
Represent the company in networking events, conferences etc.
Accomplishes company goals by exploring opportunities to add value and taking charge of new requests
Ensure that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (e.g. people, material, equipment etc.)
Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity
Supervise the work of employees and provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data to facilitate operations
Reports to senior managers and executives about condition of the company through periodical and annual reviews
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Proven working experience as a Business Manager/ Business Development Manager or a relevant role
Proven sales track record
Knowledge of marketing and sales principles
A good understanding of the Rwanda market
Ability to organize processes and people
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving skills
Negotiation skills and ability to build rapport
Business degree required.
3-5 years of proven Business Management experience/ Business Development experience
