Job Title:  Plant Engineer and Operations coordinator


Our client, Kinazi Cassava plant is an integrated company and a lead in processing and producing quality cassava flour for national and international consumption.


Plan, direct and coordinate the manufacturing activities in industrial plants, including the construction, modification, performance and maintenance of equipment and machinery

Duties and responsibilities.

Automating production processes

Day to day tasks include determining standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance

Analyzing the requirements for the production process.

Plan, and oversee the development, installation, operation and maintenance of machinery

Assemble components and perform production line operations and other manual duties in the factory.

conduct research to solve practical engineering problems and to improve efficiency

Analyze and find ways to improve current production processes

Inspecting plant and machinery to ensure optimum performance, directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, scheduling and planning production activities

Qualifications and Requirements

The plant engineers should have a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline such as electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering.

Five (5) to Seven (7) years of professional experience for those with a bachelor’s degree

Knowledge of computer software as it pertains to engineering preferred

High level of analytical ability where problems are complex

Oral and written communication skills

High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required

Fluency in English, French and Kinyarwanda
