Job Summary:

Our client in the oil and gas industry seeks to hire a suitably qualified Air Quality specialist who will support to deliver technical advice, monitoring, modelling, forecasting and assurance around air quality to ensure compliance with legislation requirements. Effective and timely delivery of key business reporting requirements are central to this role requiring excellent time and stakeholder management skills.  

Responsibilities

This position is the Air Quality Specialist that Keys tasks for this position include:

  • Undertake regulatory reporting interaction with regulator where required including audits.
  • Provide support around changing regulatory environment surrounding oil and gas policies.
  • Support Group Environment initiatives such as Clean Air Climate Coalition Oil & Gas partnership which seeks to minimise emissions.
  • Manage Air Quality monitoring programs. Undertake regular reporting on air quality outcomes.
  • Develop scopes of work relating to dispersion modelling, ambient monitoring, point source monitoring and emission surveys as required. 
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to enable site access and permit approvals.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and records management processes are maintained for effective tracking of environmental performance
  • Promote and implement a safety culture including adherence to Life Saving Rules.

Job Requirements:

 

  • A degree(s) or equivalent in a relevant environmental science or engineering discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in air-quality management field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of air quality management related legislation, policies, standards and practices and how they are applied in the workplace.
  • Strong experience in Oil, Gas or petrochemicals business is desirable, ideally with experience in both the development and operating phases.
  • Team player that identifies and understands (business) project requirements and translates these opportunities into delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to projects and stakeholders.
