Job Title: Deputy Director, AHAZAZA NGO

Location: Muhanga, Rwanda

Our Client, AHAZAZA NGO, founded AHAZAZA Independent School in 2006. The school’s mission is to educate able and motivated children to provide Rwanda with competent and confident adults able to think critically and permanently renew their knowledge, who are also passionate about peace, social justice and human dignity. Hence, it favors a balanced development of the child, not only from an intellectual, but also from a physical and social point of view. Pupils are currently at Kindergarten and Primary level and are taught the National Curriculum through English and French, as well as undertaking a range of extra-curricular activities. Approximately 75% of pupils are fee-paying with the balance in receipt of scholarships funded through donations. The School is currently the most highly regarded at its level in the region.

The School is the key component of AHAZAZA NGO, which also includes an Organic Farm and a Multipurpose Hall located on the school premises. The aims of the NGO are to expand into Secondary education whilst becoming self-financing: through school fees; profits of the Farm and Hall; and fundraising.
