Position Details: Branch Manager

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Job purpose

Be responsible for excellent leadership of the branch in order to achieve growth and profitability, target implementation of an effective and efficient operational risk management,customer service, prudent credit analysis and effective utilization of Branch resources.


Functionsand Responsibilities


·        Ensure effective / efficientimplementation of bank-wide policies with respect to branch operations

·        Supervise the administration ofthe vault through effective treasury management

·        Ensure proper documentation ofall transactions and authorize transactions within approval limits

·        Review and approve retailcredit applications within stipulated guidelines / limits

·        Supervise activities ofoperations staff to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to customers

·        Supervise counting of vaultcash and verify agreement with cash register

·        Ensure that the unit hasadequate allocation of resources to enable it meet stated objectives

·        Perform random batch checkingof transactions by subordinates and query exceptional transactions

·        Verify for correctness the netposition of branch account with CENTRAL BANK statement

·        Enforce compliance oftransfer/swap of vault cash above branch holding limits

·        Perform other duties asassigned by Head Operations & IT

Professional Requirements


A First degree in any Business related discipline.

Minimum of 4 years in a bank and 2 years in a similarposition. 

Master’s in Business Administration or Banking & Finance andprofessional qualification will be an added advantage
